A Gulf Coast Photographer Based in Mobile, Alabama
Taking portraits is a time for me to capture a moment. I do it for the challenge and for the reward. The challenge is not just getting a technically correct image; I could teach anyone to do that practically. The challenge is getting a piece of your personality along with that image. The reward is knowing that I achieved that goal and that I gave someone something that they can hold as memory for a lifetime.
I see photography (fotographee) as my creative outlet. I have ideas and fotographee is the only medium that allows me to put them into a physical/visual form to share. For as long as I can remember, I have always had a passion to capture such amazing moments from families, accomplishments, to pregnancies, engagements, and more. For me, fotographee is a discovery and it is the archaeology of emotion. My fotographee is how I perceive and present my world to you.
Fotographee involves a lot of introspection over the course of a career. The deeper I get, the more I realize that it’s all about what I am interested in, how I feel about it, and what I want to say to the people who view my work. As I shoot, I learn more about me, what I value, and how I see the world. Life is filled with “big moments”. Births, graduations, weddings, first steps—these are all moments that should be documented for family history.
